Hi! I’m Aisling

They all scratched their heads when I said I was using holistic therapies to cope with my Rheumatoid Arthritis,
but now they have seen how it helps me, they get it

You’ve been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and you’re doing all the right things

  • Taking on board advice from your medical team
  • Eating the right foods (well, most of the time but that still counts, right?)
  • Racking up 7-8 hours of sleep a night
  • Taking your medication ( those pesky needles HURT though)
  • But, it’s still hard. The pain, unrelenting fatigue, nausea, insomnia, and lots of other delightful treats are never far away.

Do you ever wish that you had a little extra something to help you cope? Something that will comfort you and be the voice in your head saying “Don’t worry. You. Got. This.”

Oh, you’re in the right place, fellow spoonie!

Thats where I come in.

I’m Aisling. I’m a mum of 2 and was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2016.

Simple things like holding a steering wheel, wearing nice shoes, brushing or washing my hair, peeling vegetables, typing, and sometimes just sitting, standing, or lying in the same position for extended periods of time caused me a lot of pain and discomfort.

I have a BSc in Chemistry and an MSc in Biopharmaceutical Science. I wholeheartedly believe that medication is necessary for the management of my disease and preventing joint damage. BUT, sometimes it’s just not enough for me. I need something extra to make me feel better. Some of the ways that I have used the holistic techniques that I share in my programs are to

  • keep stress and anxiety low
  • try to dampen the pain and stiffness in between painkillers because sometimes 4 hours until the next dose can feel like a lifetime
  • help calm a nauseous stomach from both pain and medication side effects
  • carry me through a cloud of fatigue when all I wanted to do was sleep
  • stay positive which can be really hard when dealing with a chronic illness.
  • help with clearing congestion from sinus infections that I have become more prone to.

My Mission

To help you cope with symptoms of your inflammatory arthritis, side effects of your medication and manage stress related flare-ups, using holistic therapies, all without compromising your medical journey
